Meeting Description

Cell Society’s Annual Clinical Conference was created to meet the nearly insatiable demand for evidence-based clinical information concerning the applications of cell therapies.  This year’s meeting will bring 25 international and national faculty together, all leading experts in fields including cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, industry and policy for a 2 day opportunity to share their most recent findings.  Up to 11.5 CME hours will be offered.

Learning Objectives

As a result of participating in this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the basic science and biology of stem cell therapies, including adult stem cell therapies, in order to understand their use for various medical indications
  • Evaluate current accomplishments and obstacles for application of adult stem cells in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery
  • Assess current accomplishments and obstacles for application of adult stem cell therapy in cardiovascular disease
  • Assess current accomplishments and obstacles for application of adult stem cell therapy in urologic diseases
  • Assess current accomplishments and obstacles for application of adult stem cell therapy in neurologic disease
  • Assess current accomplishments and obstacles for application of adult stem cell therapies in orthopedic disease
  • Discuss regulatory and policy issues regarding adult-derived stem cells

Target Audience

The Second Annual Clinical Conference agenda has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians and other healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients who may benefit from cell therapy treatments.
