Program Description
As more soft tissue fillers and neuromodulators have become available, the number of non-surgical facial aesthetic procedures has risen dramatically. More product options give physicians a wide pallet from which to choose to help patients achieve a refreshed and/or rejuvenated appearance. Experience has demonstrated that one of the most effective ways to learn injection technique is through a facilitated hands-on experience. The goals of the CME accredited AestheticSAFE™initiative, which has been developed under the direction of the Physician’s Coalition for Injectable Safety (PCIS) is:
- To provide residents/fellows in the core[1] specialties a comprehensive program that focuses on attaining a fundamental knowledge of injectable aesthetic treatments using FDA-approved soft tissue fillers and neuromodulators
- Allow residents in the different core specialties an opportunity to mingle and learn from each other while in the meeting environment.
Invitations to this meeting are being extended to residents/fellows in the Departments/Divisions of Dermatology, Facial Plastic Surgery, Oculoplastic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, and Plastic Surgery at the:
- University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago
- University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine
- Rush Medical College
- Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science
- Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine
- Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University

An invite is also being extended to recent program graduates (2-3 years) who are practicing in the local community.
